2010 has arrived, and with it the hopes of good things to come. The housing market has started to and continues to improve.
So if a home sale is in your future, you will want to start taking the necessary steps to make that happen. The spring market is just around the corner, and now is the time to start sprucing your home up and getting it ready to go.
Even though it’s cold out, you can certainly tackle your indoor projects. De Clutter, start the new year out by getting rid of items you no longer want, need or use. You can do it one room at a time, or one floor of your home at a time. Sort items out by making a pile to be donated, and those items that are able to be used should be tossed. You can certainly sell items on Craigslist or Ebay as well.
A fresh coat of paint on the walls is always a plus when putting your home on the market. And even though it is winter & you aren’t always able to have the windows open while painting, you can certainly use the low VOC paints that are on the market. Don’t stop at the walls, the ceilings, trim & doors could all use a fresh coat of paint as well.
Clean out and organize closets, cabinets & pantries. Buyers will open those doors and look in, as they go thru your home.
Take the time now to visit a few open houses and meet some Realtors. Ask questions, this is one way of interviewing potential Realtors.
