Just like getting ready for
an important event in your life, you want to look your best, you want to
impress and you want to stand out. The same principles apply to preparing your
home for market.
You want your home to be
remembered in a good way. To help you with that we have put together some tips
to help you prepare for the big day.
Tip One: Clean, clean and did
we mention clean.
Tip Two: De-clutter. Definition of clutter: Anything
you don’t use daily. You are moving; right? So you’ll be one step closer
to having your packing done.
Tip Three: Remove family and
personal photos so a potential buyer can imagine their family living in your
home without you with them.
Tip Four: Paint as many walls
neutral as you can. You’ll get the most out of your dollars spent with this one.
Color is fine; just use it sparingly with the accents in the room.
Tip Five: Rearrange your
furniture for easy flow through your home and remove any bulky furniture pieces
that are taking away from your home’s spotlight.
Tip Six: Speaking of light,
let it in. Open blinds, curtains etc.
Tip Seven: You only have one
chance to make a first impression so let’s talk about your front door. Clean it,
paint it and welcome your potential buyers with a new welcome mat. Impress!
